Sculpture: Trialith Structure

by Max on July 27, 2001

Here’s an interesting bit about me. In early 2001, I was very interested in architecture and designing structures and buildings.

One of the remaining relics from that time is the “Trialith”. A triangular mega-monolith, with side scrolling facades, glass slopes on all sides and dotted with pod shaped openings and sliding elevators. You can see my rough sketch and a 1/1000 model that I created from wooden blocks, industrial glue and plenty of burned holes below:

On a funny note, I stumbled upon another infamous triangular structure in North Korea, called the Ryugyong Hotel, and dubbed as the ugliest building in the world.

Way to go North Korea! Thanks for ruining my plans for pitching the Trialith to China.
